Because instead of being dropped into chaotic tenders with unrealistic deadlines, you’ll step into a stable, well-resourced pre-construction environment where you can actually influence outcomes, shape strategy and produce bids you’re proud of.
This is an estimating role where your voice carries weight. You’ll be the person the business turns to for clarity, competitiveness and confidence — working across residential, commercial and industrial projects, each with the scale to keep you sharp and the variety to keep you interested.
You’ll be office based with the flexibility to work from home one day a week, giving you time to focus while staying close to the conversations that matter.
What you’ll do

Lead the estimating function across major tenders — from initial measurements and pricing through to full bid preparation and submission

Produce accurate, competitive cost plans that balance win potential with robust commercial protection

Build strong relationships with supply chain partners to secure reliable, market-tested pricing

Mentor junior estimators and contribute to developing the pre-construction team

Work closely with senior leadership to refine bidding strategy, support client engagement and help secure the right work
What you’ll need

At least 7 years’ estimating experience within a main contractor environment

A proven track record of successfully winning work on high-value projects

Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and deep knowledge of construction methods and market rates

Confidence leading bids, presenting tender proposals and influencing strategic decisions
